Does WhiteSpace® integrate with Exchange or Outlook?

Both. WhiteSpace® integrates directly with Microsoft Exchange, which is visible to end users through MS-Outlook.

The main benefits of this system are that it is a Server only installation and requires no client application to be installed within Outlook. The system is also fully on-line so there are no additional propagation delays and the system is seamless to the user and seamless to any Outlook Client from PC, Pocket PC and the Web Client to anything that links with Exchange / Outlook.

I'm interested in Scheduling now, but will want to add on the time recording pack later, can I do this?

You can start with Scheduling and add Time Recording later very easily.
I'm impressed with how WhiteSpace® integrates with Outlook to schedule resources. However, is there a way of integrating Outlook with Timewatch's time sheet system? I.E., the resources (especially for staff) has already been allocated. Obviously, assuming the task has been carried out, on time, the time should be converted to time sheet.

Yes, scheduling can be fully integrated with Time Recording. This not only allows end users' timesheets to be prefilled with the Projects they are scheduled to work on, but once timesheets are in you can compare scheduled vs. actuals. Some customers have combined the Advanced analysis facilities in Time Recording to create a "Background forecast" for Projects so they can run reports which show actual revenue by job up to the current date, then actual forecast revenue (based on scheduled time) then the background forecast where the schedules have not been entered yet. Integrating Scheduling and Time Recording is very powerful.

We are looking for a web-based system that would be used mainly for the sole purpose of scheduling rooms. Does TimeWatch have a system for a relativley small and focused need such as this?

WhiteSpace® supports any type of Resource, in your case Resources are rooms so yes, you can use WhiteSpace®.
I'm looking for resource booking solution that integrates with Outlook - allowing booking of resources through Outlook; as well as booking through a web interface. From the Outlook demo, I couldn't tell whether or not resources could be booked through Outlook, or whether this must be done through the Scheduler. Is your product supported in all versions of Outlook (2000, XP, 2003)? Company size is about 200 employees w/ about 35 bookable resources.

Yes, you can book resources from within WhiteSpace® or from Outlook and you can still use the Outlook Meeting Request System. You need to look at the Exchange / Outlook Integration Demo.

As the system links through Exchange, it does not matter which Outlook Client you use now or in the future.
We require the ability to centrally plan and view our resources. Our present system does not enable us to readily view our consultants wherebouts and makes it difficult to schedule future projects. Integration with outlook would be useful as would the ability to easily plan recurring tasks

Yes. The on-line demo is designed to show general scheduling with people, equipment and rooms. You can have as many rooms, people, equipment as you need... all you do is set them up and name them.
Does WhiteSpace® allow for multiple entries for one day, one person? We at times have 4 different things going on for one person on one day (times are not important).

You can set up as many bookings as you want in a day. In the on-line demo we have mostly full day and half day bookings to keep it simple, but you can specify the default minimum. Some customers work to 1 hour slots, some to 15 minutes. It is very easy to configure.
Is the database backend of WhiteSpace® open? Can I write my own Access reports for example?

Yes, the database is open and is designed to allow people to write their own reports. A database manual is included with all systems and you'll be impressed with the database design as it was designed specifically to make it easy for Customer to write reports on their data.
We run 50 jobs at one time, and have 75 to 100 employees doing electrical contracting work. We can export the total hours from our Accounting Package (Forefront by Dexter & Chaney) but would like to schedule our employees and equipment to jobs by day. Can you help us??

We certainly can. You can schedule your Employees on various jobs or projects, this will allow you to quickly and easily see available time and allow you to schedule your employees. The same goes for equipment. If you have a lot of equipment resource you need to schedule, you would be better off going for the Web Version as it is more cost effective for large resource numbers.
